Unused two-ingredient dough that is stored in a sealed container can be refrigerated for up to 10 days. Therefore, this dough is the perfect recipe to make ahead and use later for all of your homemade bakery needs.
However, if you’re interested in storing leftover naan bread, let it cool down to room temperature and seal it in an airtight storage container. Then, store it in one of two ways:
- In the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
- In the freezer for 2 to 3 months.
How to Make Two-Ingredient Dough
Two-ingredient dough is a magical combination of Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Essentially, what it’s known (and loved) for is allowing you to make your favorite baked goods without all the struggles associated with traditional homemade dough.
To make two-ingredient dough, you start by combining self-rising flour with some Greek yogurt. I like to use a ratio of 2 cups of flour for every 1 ½ cups of yogurt. If you don’t have any self-rising flour, don’t worry. It’s easy to make from scratch using 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda, and ¾ of a teaspoon of salt.
Then, place your dough on a floured surface and knead a few times into a ball. That’s it! Now, you have a delicious, low-carb dough option to use for easy homemade pizza crusts, cinnamon rolls, pretzels, breadsticks—you name it!

Greek yogurt is known for having a slightly tangy flavor, which can rub off on the flavor of the dough. My favorite way to combat this is to add spices! Personally, I think the olive oil and garlic in this recipe gives it plenty of rich and savory flavor to combat the slight sourness of the yogurt.
The Greek yogurt used in this recipe adds plenty of moisture to the dough, which will prevent the dough from drying out. If, after forming the dough, you feel that it might still wind up dry, feel free to add an additional tablespoon or two of Greek yogurt.
Regular yogurt doesn’t have the same consistency as Greek yogurt, so I don’t recommend using them interchangeably.
