Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix

Lately I have been really excited about creating my own dry rub and spice mixtures, similar to this yummy taco seasoning recipe I posed awhile back. I have also recently fallen back in love with ranch, not sure where that came from but I am going to embrace and work on some ranch recipes. I am thinking ranch potaotes, ranch chicken fingers, and maybe even some ranch chips or crackers if I can figure them out. To start this journey, I wanted a great homemade ranch seasoning and after trying a few, this is the one I liked the most. The recipe and photo from $5 Dinners, I just couldn’t get a good photo of mine.

I would definitely recommend running this all through a food processor once you had all of the ingredients together. We liked the flavor of this one, upped the dill and salt a little but the big pieces of parsley, dill, and basil were a bit much. I just made my second batch and this time I ran it through the food processor, it came out a lot better this time :)

Where can I find dry buttermilk? I’ve never gotten it before. How long does this recipe keep? Looks great!

I am lucky and can find it in my local grocery store with the spices. If your store doesn’t carry it, you could order it from Amazon here.

Homemade salad dressing tastes best if you mix it up a few hours early, or even overnight, to let the flavors blend.
