Lately I have been eating a lot of taco salads for lunches. It is definitely one of my favorites. Previously I have been using store bought taco seasoning and adding it to chicken breast in the crockpot with about 1/2 cup chicken stock. I let it cook on high for 4 hours and have perfectly seasoned, shredded chicken taco meat. However, this Sunday, preparing to stock up for the week, I realized I didn’t have any taco seasoning and figured there must be an easy way to make my own. Came out delicious and was incredibly easy.

The ingredients look great, but the quantities have me a little puzzled! Did you mean Tblsp. where it reads cups? : }
I know the quantities look huge but it’s because it makes enough seasoning for about 10 meals. You can easily half everything for less. I like to make up a big batch and store so I have it for whenever I need it.
Thank-you for the large quantity measurements. I have had a recipe given to me that makes not much more than for 1-2 meals but I was impressed that it tasted just like the store bought packets. Hopefully the proportions are in a similar ratio. I would not purchase store packets anymore–I personally purchase spices at a small independent bulk food store and still get good quality spices for a reduced price.
