Step 1 Preheat the grill over medium high heat. Prepare two pieces of foil, about 12 X 18 inches. Double up the foil and place the apples in the center. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, brown sugar, and ginger. Toss with hands to coat. Spread thin slices of butter on top. Fold the foil over to create a closed foil packet.

Step 2 Grill for about 15 minutes or until apples are cooked through. Carefully open the foil packets and serve immediately. Optional: Top with granola and a dollop of whipped cream or frozen yogurt for an easy apple pie style dessert.
