  • 1 lb 99% lean ground turkey
  • 3 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup salsa (fresh refrigerated salsa is best)
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 14 oz canned black beans, drained
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 avocado, chopped
  • 3/4 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 corn tortillas

Let's Watch Turkey Taco Salad

Step 1 Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey meat and taco seasoning. Cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through. Add the salsa and stir to combine. Let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickens. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Step 2 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the tortillas right on the oven rack. Bake the tortillas for 8-10 minutes until browned and crispy. Let cool and then break into bite-sized pieces. For a more beautiful presentation, cut into strips and spray with cooking spray. Place on baking and cook for 6-8 minutes until crispy.

Step 3 To assemble the salad, start with the crunchy romaine. Add the taco meat, black beans tomatoes, avocado, shredded cheese, and green onions.
