What you need:

  • 2 lbs turkey breast tenderloins
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Step 1 Combine the broth, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and thyme in a slow cooker.

Step 2 Add the turkey tenderloins and turn to coat on both sides.

Step 3 Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 160 in the thickest part. See notes on cooking temperature.

Step 4 Remove and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with cooking liquid drizzled over top or thicken the sauce. Optional sauce: Combine 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of cold water. Pour the cooking liquids from the slow cooker into a small pot. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1 minute. Serve over turkey.
