Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup self rising flour
  • 1 cup non fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1 egg (for wash)

Step 1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yogurt, stirring until they are well combined, using a fork, if necessary. If the mixture is too sticky, add a Tablespoon of additional flour and continue to mix. Repeat as necessary until the mixture becomes a workable ball of dough. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead on a lightly floured surface, until the dough is smooth.

Step 2Divide the dough into 4-6 equal portions. Roll each piece into a long rope, making each piece approximately 8-10 inches in length. Place the rope into a ā€œUā€ shape, and then twist the ends before bringing them back down over the top of the pretzel.

Step 3Place each pretzel onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Brush the tops of each pretzel with a whisked egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 15-18 minutes until they are golden brown.
