The first few days on a new healthy eating or diet plan usually go great. You are motivated, armed with meal ideas, and excited. Then a few days or perhaps a week pass and things start to get hard. Life starts to get in the way and planning out healthy meals quickly falls to the bottom of your to-do list. Before you know it, you are back to the old habits that got you here in the first place.
The truth is most people fail to reach their goals simply because they don’t have a plan. And since life will inevitably get busy and stressful, we revert back to our old habits. We just don’t have time to search for recipes, calculate calories (or points), write out a shopping list, and figure out every day:
