I actually don’t have too many words to describe how yummy this banana bread is, except you may want to make sure you give some away or have lots of people around because it is much to easy to eat lots of it. It combines a simple, low fat banana bread recipe with rich Nutella to create a truly decadent bread for only 4 weight watchers points plus and under 150 calories.

Holy cow that sounds incredible! Can you leave the butter out?
I haven’t tried it without the butter. You could try replacing it with more applesauce, but it may affect the texture since you wouldn’t be able to cream the sugar and butter together. If you try it let me know how it turns out!
Can you confirm that the Nutella shold be microwaved for 30-60 minutes until it is softer and melted. Did you mean seconds?
Yes – 30 to 60 seconds
Thanks!
Warm the Nutella up in the microwave for 30-60 minutes until it is softer and melted.
Do you mean 30-60 seconds?
Cannot wait to try!
Yes – 30 to 60 seconds
I made this today. It turned out great. My 5 year old loved it. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Recipe looks great ad I have a question. Is the brown sugar packed? lightly packed?or just measured and used?
Thanks I’d like to try this real soo, my bananas are defrosting.
Lightly packed. Hope you enjoy it!
Can you tell me how many regular points this is? I am not doing the points plus version.
Never mind I see the nutrional info at the bottom
Sure am going to try this. Sounds so good. Love me some nutella!
Love to make this. I Have self riseing flour, can I use that and leave out the baking soda and salt?
Honestly – I am not sure because I hardly ever use self rising flour, but I think it should work.
[...] made this Nutella Banana Bread recipe over the weekend and HAVE to share the link plus my review. Also have to make another batch since [...]
I tried this recipe today, and I’m very pleased with the results. I was nervous about the sheer volume of mashed banana that went into the batter, but my worries about mushy bread were for nothing–the loaf came out great! Moist, soft, and very tasty. And even with Nutella in it, it’s lower in calories than even the low-calorie banana bread I’ve made before! Definitely my new favorite way to use up overripe bananas

Made this as muffins, to help with the portion control, and I love it!!! Awesome recipe, thank you!
Can I make this without the applesauce? I dont have any. Do i need to replace it with something else?
The applesauce is a replacement for the oil that would normally be used. You could try replacing it with a pumpkin puree, a 1/4 cup vegetable oil (which would increase the points), or another fruit puree. I haven’t tried it this way before but it should work.
Has anybody tried to freeze this? I would love to try it, but there is just two of us and I don’t want to end up eating it all! lol
Why don’t you try halving the recipe and turning them into muffins? That way portion control is built right in
I don’t have apple sauce, what can I use instead?
Thanks, I’m very excited to try this!
Although I haven’t tried it, I think it would work to substitute in an extra 1/4 cup mushed bananas. You could also try pumpkin puree or maybe yogurt. If you don’t mind some extra calories, 1/4 cup of vegetable oil would also work since that is what the applesauce is meant to replace in a typical higher calorie bread recipe.
Made this Sunday and I love it!! I will make it again.
