What you need:

  • 1.5 lbs green beans
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil (or avocado oil or coconut oil)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp water (more if needed)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper

Step 1 Heat the vegetable oil and sesame oil over medium high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.

Step 2 Add the green beans to the pan and quickly stir to coat. Add the soy sauce and water. Cook for 7-10 minutes until the beans are tender-crisp, stirring often so they don't burn. If needed, add an extra tablespoon of water.
