If the mixture is too sticky, add a tablespoon of additional flour and continue to mix. Repeat as necessary until the mixture becomes a workable ball of dough. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead on a lightly floured surface, until the dough is smooth.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the dough. Roll the dough into a flat round circle, about 12 inches wide. Cover evenly with the sauce and sprinkle with garlic salt and dried basil. Add the shredded cheese and any toppings you are using.
