Spinach Artichoke Grilled Cheese Recipe
All the flavor of spinach artichoke dip in a delicious and light grilled cheese! Make it with turkey or without for a tasty lunch or easy dinner.
List of Ingredients:
- 2 slices wheat bread
- 2 slices deli turkey breast (optional)
- 2 tbsp light cream cheese (softened)
- 3 tbsp part skim shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped (well-drained)
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp butter (optional)
- Salt and pepper
In a small bowl, mix together the spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Spread the butter on each slice of bread on one side, about 1/2 teaspoon. Add the spinach and artichoke mixture to the non-buttered sides of the bread. Layer in the turkey if using.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the sandwich and cook until the bread is golden brown. Flip the sandwich and repeat on the other side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese and filling are warm and melted.
