Instant Pot Salsa Chicken Recipe

List of Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups salsa

1 Add half of the salsa to the Instant pot.

2 Add the chicken to the Instant Pot in a single layer. You can use chicken breast or chicken thighs.

3 Sprinkle the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the remaining salsa on top.

4 Close the Instant Pot and seal it. Set the pot to Manual for 10 minutes.

5 Let the Instant Pot naturally come to pressure. Once the chicken finishes cooking, let it naturally release for 5-7 minutes. Carefully remove the lid.

6 Shred the chicken using two forks. You can also simply slice or chop the chicken.
