Easy Grilled Swordfish

What you need:

  • 4 center cut swordfish steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried rosemary)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Step 1 Mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.

Step 2 Place the marinade in a shallow dish and add the fish. Turn to coat on both sides and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3 Preheat the grill or a grill pan to medium high heat. Remove the fish from the marinade. Use a fork to scrape off any garlic so it doesn’t burn on the grill. This step is optional but many people find garlic bitter if it burns.

Step 4 Cook the swordfish for 4-6 minutes on each side until the swordfish is cooked through and opaque. Exact cooking time will depend on thickness and swordfish should be cooked to 145 degrees. Be careful not to overcook because swordfish can get dry quickly. Serve with fresh lemon.
