Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken Recipe
No more boring chicken! Make this delicious Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken that is perfectly cooked and bursting with citrus flavor. The quick and easy recipe is a crowd-pleaser and great for summer grilling.
List of Ingredients:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (smaller breasts)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt to taste (only if needed, many times lemon pepper seasoning has salt)
Make the marinade: Combine all the ingredients in a glass jar. Shake or whisk well. The marinade will separate in the fridge, so make sure to let it come to room temperature and whisk/shake to combine before using.
Lightly pound the chicken if needed so that the chicken breasts are a uniform in size. For very thick breasts, I recommend slicing them in half horizontally so they cook evenly on the grill. Place the chicken and marinade in a non-reactive bowl, dish, or bag. Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour, but no more than 2 hours.
To grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grill is clean, Oil grates if necessary. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Grill the chicken for 3-5 minutes per side until cooked through with nice grill marks.
Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
