Greek Ground Turkey Recipe
List of Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1.33 lbs 99% lean ground turkey
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper
- 6 cups baby spinach
- 1/2 cup sundried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup kalamata olives, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup reduced fat feta cheese
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup cucumbers, chopped
Heat the olive oil over medium high heat in a skillet. Add the onion and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Add the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 1 minute. Add the spinach, sundried tomatoes, and olives. Cook for 2-3 minutes until spinach wilts.
Serve with lots of fresh lemon juice, parsley, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber.
