Level up your fish tacos with this 5-minute homemade fish taco sauce! This creamy sauce is packed is slightly spicy and packed with flavor. Made with just 5 ingredients.
List of Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup plain 2% Greek yogurt (or regular yogurt for a thinner sauce)
- 1/3 cup Mexican crema (or mayonnaise or sour cream)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo (adjust to taste, just use the sauce for less heat)
- 1 lime, juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder (or 1 small clove)
- Salt to taste
Add everything to a food processor. Start off with just 1 chipotle pepper (or even half of one) you can always add more and chipotle peppers can be spicy.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Note: If you don’t use Mexican crema, this sauce may be too thick. Think out with some hot water, olive oil, or extra lime juice.
