The best crispy Baked Carrot Fries are a healthy alternative to traditional fries made with thinly sliced carrots! They are easy, kids love them, and they are a great way to sneak in extra veggies.
What you need:
- 1.5 lbs carrots
- 1.5 tbsp. olive oil
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt (more to taste)
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut the carrots into matchsticks. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread out on a prepared baking sheet (optional to use parchment paper for easier cleanup and so that fries won’t stick to the pan).
Bake for 16-18 minutes, shaking once, or until browned and tender. Crack the door open every few minutes to help let the steam escape faster. For crispier fries, bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
