- 24 oz. wild salmon fillets (or farm raised)
- 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tbsp. olive oil (or butter)
Rinse the salmon and pat dry using a paper towel.
Mix the spices in a bowl. Taste and adjust spice level if needed,
Press the salmon in the spices. If the fish is skinless, press on both sides. If the fish has skin, just press into the flesh side.
Heat the oil over medium heat. Add the fish, flesh side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes without touching the filets. Once it is blackened and has a nice crust, carefully flip the fish over. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
