Asian Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps
In just 15 minutes, make the most amazing Asian Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps! They taste just like the delicious PF Chang's lettuce wraps with the most delicious sauce. Easy to make and healthy.
What you need:
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1.33 lbs 95% lean ground beef
- 8 oz. canned water chestnuts, drained and diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce (or coconut aminos for Paleo/Whole30)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/8 tsp Asian garlic chili paste (optional, to taste)
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 cup cashews
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 head butter lettuce
Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the red pepper and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they begin to soften. Add the ground beef to the pan. Breaking it up as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until beef is browned and cooked through,
Add the ground beef to the pan. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until beef is browned and cooked through. Add the water chestnuts and garlic to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic chili paste, and ginger. Stir together and cook for 3-4 minutes. Taste and season if needed.
Serve ground beef in lettuce wraps topped with cashews and green onions.
