How it works?
At Slender Kitchen, we truly believe that having a meal plan is a key component to successfully finishing the Whole30. Here is how our plan works:
- Whole30 Lightened Up: Our Whole30 meal plan is a little different than most. While all our recipes adhere to Whole30 guidelines, they are also lighter in calories and fat than many plans out there.
- Weekly Menus and Shopping List: Each week includes recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus a complete shopping list including everything you will need and pantry staples.
- Love Your Leftovers: Most people don’t have time to cook something new for every meal, so our meal plan utilizes leftovers to make meal prep easy and quick.
- Meal Prep Ideas: Each week we provide a list of meal prep ideas so can get ahead. Prep your dishes on the weekend for each weekday meal prep.

What is the Whole30®?
The Whole30 is a diet that focuses on whole, unprocessed foods and eliminates dairy, grains, legumes, sugar, and processed foods. It is meant to help your body reset, reduce inflammation, and discover how your body reacts to different foods. It also can aid in weight loss, but that is not the primary intention. How is your Whole30® meal plan different?
This Whole30 meal plan is different than what you would typically find. While many Whole30 meal plans are very high calorie and high fat, this plan is built a little differently. The recipes we include are meant to be lighter since we found that was what many people wanted.
Rather than build our meals around fattier cuts of meat, butter, bacon, and richer ingredients – we focus on lean proteins, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and healthy fats in moderation since that is how we like to eat long term. We also include the calorie counts and Weight Watchers® Freestyle™ SmartPoints® since we found many people were seeking them out and wanted the extra information. However, we must point out that this is not in the spirit of a traditional Whole30.
Does this work for Weight Watchers®?
Absolutely. Many people find that kicking off their Weight Watchers® journey by doing a Whole30® is a great way to break sugar and carbohydrate cravings. It gets your body used to eating healthy, good for you, whole foods. Our Whole30® meal plan includes WW Freestyle™ Smartpoints® so you can stick to your WW points and do a Whole30®. We think it is the best of both worlds.
Are the recipes complicated? Do they take a long time to prepare?
We understand that time is limited and for that reason we provide quick and easy recipes. We utilize tools like the slow cooker, love sheet pan meals, and one pot meals are our favorites. Anything that makes cooking easy and stress free. And we utilize leftovers and meal prep to make the most of the cooking you are doing.
Do I need lots of cooking experience?
Not at all! Our recipes are easy to make and include clear directions to make cooking a breeze no matter how much experience you have in the kitchen.
Will I need specialty ingredients? Can I find what I need in the grocery store?
We want this Whole30® meal plan to be easy and accessible for everything. For that reason, we make sure to use ingredients that are readily available in grocery stores and easy to find.
Do you include nutritional information and calories?
We do! Every recipe will include all the nutritional information. This includes calories, fat, protein, fiber, carbohydrates, and more. However, it is worth mentioning that a traditional Whole30 does not include counting calories or macros.
How many servings are included in the recipes?
All the recipes are based on two servings. This makes it very easy to adjust when needed. If you only need it for one person, you can easily cut the recipes and shopping list in half. If you are cooking for four, simply double everything. If you have an odd number, like 3 or 5, we recommend making the extra portions. Remember, on Whole30 you shouldn't be hungry so it can be helpful to have some extra leftovers or larger servings available.
