Steamed Cajun Shrimp

- 3/4 cup Sierra Nevada ale (or other dark beer)
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 U Juice of 1 lemon
In a medium sauce pan bring the beer, water, lemon juice, and all of the spices to a boil.
When it comes to a boil, turn it down to a simmer and add the shrimp.
Cover and cook for 4-6 minutes until the shrimp are opaque, pink, and cooked through.
Serve hot or cold. If serving hot consider serving over rice and using the leftover sauce for the rice.
