This Asian inspired Sesame Ginger Broccoli Slaw is packed with flavor and a tasty alternative to a traditional coleslaw.

Broccoli slaw is quickly moving up the list as one of the go-to convenience items in the grocery store. While I used to always reach for a coleslaw mix with shredded cabbage, I am loving the extra crunch of the broccoli slaw. I especially love it when paired with clean Asian flavors like this Sesame Ginger Broccoli Slaw. It's made with a flavorful dressing of rice vinegar, honey, ginger, soy sauce, and garlic. It can easily be served as a side dish or made into a meal by adding some shelled edamame and your favorite protein.

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp. ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 cups broccoli slaw
  • 1 U red pepper, sliced
  • 4 U green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

Directions

  1. Mix together the rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger. Massage into the broccoli slaw until it begins to soften. Toss with red pepper, green onions, and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
