I like to keep things simple around here and try to keep my recipes as effortless as possible with just a few common ingredients. This Lemon Feta Chicken is one of my absolute favorites, and in that I’m not alone. I get comments from readers all the time about how much they adore this simple baked chicken. I originally found this recipe in the Eating Well Through Cancer cookbook, and it has become a staple in my house ever since.
I was recently lucky enough to be featured on The 700 Club and prepared this recipe on the show. Wendy, the host of the show, was excited about the recipe and couldn’t wait to prepare it when she got home. She said she doesn’t cook much, but this recipe was simple and delicious enough that she was eager to give it a try. I can’t blame her there, this is the perfect recipe for those new to cooking, or who just wants a new go-to healthy meal in their rotation.
Probably the best feature about 5 Ingredient Lemon Feta Chicken (besides its incredible flavor!) is how quickly it comes together. There’s no need to marinade the chicken—just toss it in the baking dish, drizzle with fresh (or bottled) lemon juice, sprinkle with the herbs, and top with the cheese and onions to finish. After just five minutes of prep time or so, this mouth-watering Lemon Feta Chicken is ready to pop in the oven and will be on your table in under an hour.

Five Ingredient Lemon Feta Chicken

Preheat the oven 350°F. Spray a glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Place the chicken breasts in the dish and drizzle with half of the lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the cheese and green onions on top. Drizzle with remaining lemon juice and sprinkle with oregano.
Cover with foil and bake for 45-60 minutes until cooked through.
