Today’s healthy, delicious smoothie is sponsored by wonderful folks at nutpods.
There is no better way to start your day or fuel up during a tough afternoon than with this Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee Smoothie. It’s packed with good-for-you ingredients and means never having to decide if you want to start your day with coffee or a smoothie again.
Now the secret to this smoothie is my newly discovered obsession, nutpods. This dairy-free half and half alternative is made from coconuts and almonds and is the first dairy-free creamer I have tried and liked.
True story, I have tried about 10 different dairy-free creamers and none stand up to half and half, until now. nutpods is creamy, thick, and guilt free. It has no added sweeteners or artificial ingredients and is only 10 calories (0 SmartPoints) per serving. It comes in Original, Hazelnut, and French Vanilla and is Paleo and Whole30 friendly. Amazing.
But what I really love most about nutpods is how thick and rich it is. This makes it the perfect addition to a smoothie, or your morning coffee, since it adds creaminess without adding a lot of calories or fat.
Now let’s get back to our Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee Smoothie. It’s made with your favorite brewed coffee, Hazelnut nutpods, unsweetened cocoa powder, bananas, flax seeds, chia seeds, and cinnamon. All this is blended into a smooth, creamy drink that is better tasting and better for you than a traditional blended coffee drink.
Looking for other dairy-free recipe ideas using nutpods? They have a bunch of awesome recipes on their site. I can't wait to try this Green Goddess salad dressing, Coconut Thai Iced Tea, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Oatmeal.
