I am always on the lookout for new, easy, and healthy dishes that I can whip up in under 20 minutes. This meal fits the bill and is a great twist on traditional lettuce wraps. The recipe uses Hoisin sauce, which is a great trick for adding lots of flavor to any quick stir-fry or Asian inspired meal. Hoisin is sort of like a Chinese barbecue sauce made with soybeans, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and various spices. It is dark reddish brown, sweet & spicy, and usually can be found in the Asian area of your local supermarket. Try it out in this recipe and consider using it as a flavor source, glaze, or condiment next time you want an Asian inspired meal.
