These Caramelized Pan Roasted Turnips will totally change your mind when it comes to turnips. They get sweet and really delicious.
I have been trying to convince my husband to try turnips for ages but he almost always flat out refuses. He doesn't really have a reason why except for one turnip dish he had once that was extremely bitter. So when I was making these pan roasted turnips, I couldn't believe it when he came over and scooped a few out of the pan. Turns out he thought they were potatoes and once he realized they weren't, he was already reaching for more wondering what this magical new veggie was. When I told him they were turnips, he was shocked, but happily went back for more.

Caramelized Pan Roasted Turnips

Heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the turnips, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the turnips.
Turn heat down to medium and cook for 20-30 minutes (depending on size of turnips) until nicely browned and cooked through. Stir and flip the turnips a few times during cooking so they brown and caramelize on all sides.
