Friday Five: Fun Food Finds

I wasn't originally planning on sharing food finds today but when I ran across these new packaged cauliflower pizza crust and sandwich thins, I couldn't help myself. Although I make a lot of low carb pizza crusts at home using cauliflower or spaghetti squash, sometimes I just don't have time and this new product from Outer Aisle Gourmet sounds game changing. (They are only available in limited stores right now but you can order them online from their website.) So in honor of finding this exciting, hopefully delicious, food find - today's Friday Five is focused on some of my favorite products at the moment.

1. Outer Aisle Gourmet Cauliflower Crust and Sandwich Thins, 100 calories for pizza crust, 3 SmartPoints, 40 calories for sandwich thin, 1 SmartPoint

Made with cauliflower, Parmesan cheese, cottage cheese, egg whites, and sunflower lecithin. These crusts and sandwich thins are gluten free, low carb, low calorie and have no flour, nuts, or soy. No artificial ingredients. So excited to try them!

2. Dave's Killer Bread Thin-Sliced Organic Bread, 70 calories, 2 SmartPoints

This bread has always been one of my favorites but the normal slices although healthy, are a little high in calories/points. So when I saw the new thin slices, I couldn't have been more excited to try them. My personal favorite is the Powerseed bread but all the flavors are delicious.

3. Spicy Italian Flatoutbread Artisan Pizza Thin Pizza Crust, 130 calories, 4 SmartPoints

I have been touting Flatout products for a long time and am obsessed with their new Spicy Italian pizza crust with red pepper flakes, garlic, oregano, and basil baked right in. Perfect for low calorie pizzas, baked chips, and flatbreads.

4. Sabra Spinach Parmesan Greek Yogurt Dip, 40 calories, 2 SmartPoints

I have always been a fan of Sabra products and recently fell in love with their Spinach Parmesan Greek Yogurt dip. Not only is it delicious as a dip, it also makes a killer pasta sauce, sandwich spread, and is delicious stirred into scrambled eggs.

5. Bob's Red Mill Protein & Fiber Powder, 160 calories per 1/3 cup, 3 SmartPoints

Made from pea protein powder, chicory root fiber, psyllium husk powder, chia seeds - this protein powder has 20 grams of plant based protein and 12 grams of fiber. It also doesn't have the synthetic protein sources that many commercial protein powders have. It also is unsweetened and unflavored so it works with almost any recipe. They have flavored varieties as well sweetened with monk fruit! It works great in smoothies, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, and more.
