Whenever the sun is shining and I am in the mood for a refreshing drink – I think margarita and think of something fruity, but always end up going for an ice cold Michelada – a Mexican beer drink that is spicy, salty, with the perfect amount of lime. It is great for a hot day and because of the ice, makes a typical beer last longer and lowers the calories. If you have never had one – try it, you’ll love it.

This sounds great–and I will definitely try your way. But when I make this I also add in a quarter cup or so of tomato juice, which is wonderful. I know if you’ve never tried beer and tomato juice together, it might sound icky, but believe me, it’s a match made in heaven.
