In my opinion, everyone should have a few quick and easy recipes up their sleeve at all times. This recipe for flank steak is one of them. You can pair it with so many things that it can work for almost any quick meal. This recipes features a super simple flavor combination of lemon juice and steak seasoning but you could use any citrus (or vinegar) and any seasoning you like. Then broil it until its done to your liking, let it rest (this is key!), and slice it thin against the grain.

  • 1.33 lbs lean flank steak
  • 1.5 tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
  • 1 tbsp grill seasoning

Directions

  1. Preheat the broiler. Slice thinly against the grain.
  2. Squeeze the lemon/lime juice over the steak and sprinkle with grill seasoning. Let rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Place on a broiler pan (or baking sheet with wire rack on top) and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium. Let rest for five minutes.
