ometimes I wonder how many minutes a day I waste staring idly into my fridge. Sometimes its pure boredom, sometimes I think something delicious will magically appear, and sometimes it is in an effort to will my brain into creating a recipe. However this past Friday after about 10 minutes of idle staring, I decided to turn to the interwebs to find a recipe for the lonely chicken wings that had been hanging out in the freezer. As soon as I saw this Sweet and Spicy Hot Wing recipe from Food and Wine, I knew I had to try it. It is a perfect balance of sweet and spicy from the wing sauce and hot pepper jelly and you will be amazed at how crispy the wings get even though they are oven baked. If you aren’t into spice, these wings are also delicious on their own.
