Truth be told – I have been in the process of moving and been a little under the weather which has really slowed down the blog posting. Hopefully it will pick up this week. Today’s post is more of a how to than an actual recipe and can be used to make any kind of delicious oven fry and it will not disappoint for crispiness which I find that many recipes due once you eliminate the olive oil. It’s simple really – a little egg white, spices, and your favorite potato (although I am going to try zucchini soon), a hot oven and that’s it. Just don’t make the mistake I made and spread your fries out or they will stick together like mine did. Even so, they still taste delicious. I made mine with cajun seasoning – yum.
Perfect Oven Fries
Servings: 4 servings
Serving Size: 1/2 potato worth
Nutritional Info: 86.3 calories, .1 g of fat, 18.7 g of carbohydrates, 2.3 g of fiber, 3.4 g of protein * 2 P+
Ingredients
2 medium potatoes, sliced into think fries
1 large egg white
Your favorite seasoning ( I used 2 tsp but it depends on your taste and the spice)
cooking spray
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with tin foil or parchment paper. Spray with cooking spray if needed.
2. Add the egg white to a bowl and add the seasoning of your choice. Beat until frothy and then pour over the potatoes. Mix so all potatoes are coated. Spread in one layer onto the baking sheet trying not to have the fries touch.
3. Cook for between 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove once crispy and cooked through. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fries.

Looks tasty. I make mine just with PAM cooking spray and whatever spice I’m in the mood for that week. 40 minutes later and they are done. I’ll have to try these next time I bake up some fries.
