Healthy Smoothie Recipes

So far December has unintentionally become a month of Friday Fifty Lists, so why not keep it going to finish out the month. We’ve talked oatmeal, Weight Watchers® dinners, and now we are going to talk smoothies – healthy, delicious, diet and Weight Watchers friendly smoothies.

And while we talking about smoothies, I would love to hear thoughts from folks on Weight Watchers. When y’all make a smoothie, do you count the fruit or not? When you use the recipe calculator, the fruit counts as an ingredient and has points. Yet we all know that fruits are free in the program? So what do you do? Personally I try to count the fruit points in smoothies because I tend to err on the side of counting more points, but I can’t wait to hear your thoughts, opinions, questions, and comments.

    Hi Kristen!
    If there is 1 serving of fruit, I don’t count it but if there is more than 1 serving, then I do count the additional servings. Thanks for including my smoothie recipes and Happy Holidays!

    The smoothie recipes on the Weight Watchers site do not count the fruit! We are told that we should keep to two serves of fruit per day, so perhaps point them once they exceed two?
