I had never cooked pork tenderloin until recently and have since fallen in love with it as a great, delicious, and lean protein. It cooks really quickly and can be paired with lots of different spices, rubs, and marinades. It is also a great alternative to chicken which we honestly eat a lot of in our house. For this recipe, I created a quick and easy marinade that I learned from a co-worker. This marinade also works great with chicken or steak.
Weight Watchers Grilled Asian BBQ Pork Tenderloin
Points: 4 weight watchers pointsplus
Servings: 4
Serving Size: 1/4 lb
Nutritional Information: 158 calories, 4.2g fat, 6.7g carbs, .1g fiber, 23.2g protein
Ingredients
1 lb pork tenderloin, fat trimmed
1/8 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp. Chinese 5 Spice
1-2 tbsp. steak seasoning
¼ cup Hoisin sauce (Chinese barbecue sauce)
Instructions
1. Combine all the ingredients to create marinade for the pork tenderloin. Marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge grilling.
2. Preheat the grill on medium high. Once the grill is ready, grill the pork tenderloin for 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with the remaining marinade throughout. If the pork if not cooked enough (it should get to an internal temp of 150-160) move it to the top rack in the grill to continue cooking. This will prevent it from burning.
3. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

I can’t wait to try this. What did you pair this with, looks like polenta or soemthing?
I paired it with a fried rice that I tried out. I didn’t end up posting the rice recipe because I wasn’t completely happy with it – going to keep trying and hopefully get one up soon.
What a coincidence. I, too, have recently discovered the pork tenderloin, and I’m 52 years old!!! How is that possible? I’ll tell you how — I don’t like to cook. I am, however, going to try to start eating healthier and try to follow the weight watchers plan. Your site will be very helpful… MUCH APPRECIATED!
I was just wondering what you paired the pork with in the picture.
Thanks,
Larissa
How would you suggest cooking this if you don’t have a grill? Thanks
The first option would probably be a grill pan if you have one. However if not, I would sear it in a pan on the outside to get a nice crust and then cook it in the oven at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temp of 165. Pour the marinade over the pork when you put it in the oven and baste it with that. Let me know if you have questions about this. Thanks!
Made this tonight, and it is really, really tasty! Wil definitely make again!
