Buffalo Wing Hummus

This weekend at the farmer’s market, I tried some incredible buffalo wing hummus. Only problem, they were charging $7.99 for a tiny container which for me seemed a little crazy for chickpeas. Knowing that I could always come back next week to buy it if my home experiments failed, I quickly starting googling buffalo wing hummus recipes when I got home. After reading a bunch of recipes, I decided to try one from Food Network, and it came out perfect. Even better? You can eat 1/4 cup of it for just 2 points. Today I am off to the store to buy some blue cheese crumbles to place on top. Can’t wait to try the combination with carrots and celery.

I have been craving buffalo wing everything lately. I’m absolutely going to give this one a try. It makes more sense as a snack then buffalo wings at 3 in the afternoon which is what I’ve been considering doing. . .

Question… what if you can’t find tahini? Is there a good sub?

I think you could probably just use Greek yogurt and that would work. You could also substitute a mild nut butter like sunflower, cashew, or almond butter.

I made this using only 1 Tbsp of the hot sauce to keep it more mild, and it was delicious! Your website and recipes are a gem! Thank you!

This hummus is AMAZING! My husband isn’t usually a big hummus fan (texture issues) but he loved this. I especially like that it worked perfectly with celery dippers (no extra calories).
