About every six months or so, I scour Amazon and the Weight Watchers website to see what new products and tools they have come out with. It is a great way to find new ideas, new tools to help me stay on track, and sometimes is great inspiration for things I could be cooking, using, eating, or playing with. And for me, it is a great way to stay on track. Having a new toy to play with is (sadly) motivation for me. Here are some of the latest products, tools, and treats form Weight Watchers.
Also, given I only do this every six months or so in fear of how much money I would spend if I did it more often, some of these products might not be as new to you as they are to me.
And one more thing - who has tried the new Weight Watchers ActiveLink? I just ordered mine and can't wait for it to arrive but would love to hear from folks who have tried it.
1. Weight Watchers Activelink Activity Monitor Brand New
Much like the Body Bugg and other electronic fitness bands on the market, the new Weight Watchers Activelink measures your activity and automatically links it and includes it in your online WW tracking. Whether you are walking, jogging, or in a fitness class everything will be recorded, linked to your account, and automatically tracked in your activity points. Pretty amazing. I can't wait for mine to arrive in the mail.
2. Weight Watchers New Points Plus Electronic Food Scale
Although this scale is a bit pricey, it is pretty amazing. Not only does it electronically weigh your food ensuring proper portions, when you enter the nutritional info it also calculates the points plus values for you. No more running between the scale and your computer or trying to hold your points book open while measuring out portions. Definitely makes things easier. Also according to the reviews you can buy these cheaper at meetings, but they weren't available at the one I attend.
3. Weight Watchers Points Plus Kitchen Oil Sprayer
If you are anything like me, counting how many seconds you can spray olive oil and determining the correct number of points for it, is like a game of roulette. I am fairly certain I am never accurate. This handy dandy sprayer helps you ensure you are portioning out the right amount and not adding unneeded points or calories to your meal.
4. Weight Loss Boss
If you have ever been curious about the business behind Weight Watchers, this is a pretty interesting read. It was written by David Kirchhoff, the current CEO of Weight Watchers, and includes his own personal journey with weight loss as well as tips and tricks for making WW work for you. I was incredibly shocked by how much I loved this book and how honest and funny it was. A really great read.
5. Weight Watchers Popped Zesty Cheese Crisps
These snacks are addictive, and a bit expensive, so beware before buying - but they are delicious. Perfectly popped delicious cheese crisps, similar to a pop chip. They come in 2 points plus pouches and make a great afternoon snack and also are great for dipping, or stuffing between bread in your favorite sandwich.
