One of my very favorite things to eat in the morning is cereal - I like it more than oatmeal, more than yogurt, and couldn't really think of anything better than a heaping bowl of cereals topped with bananas and blueberries. However, sometimes I find it challenging to find cereals that I really love on weight watchers as many turn out to have a lot of points and lots of sugar. Here are some of my favorites:
1. Kashi GoLean Crisp! Toasted Berry Crumble Cereal - 5 P+
I really love almost all of the Kashi GoLean cereals but this is my favorite. I love the berries and crumbles and it always keeps me full until lunchtime. It pairs perfect with a banana.
2. Fiber One Caramel Delight - 5 P+
This is another great cereal that will keep you full until lunchtime. It is packed with fiber but doesn't taste like it with the great caramel flavor. Perfect with some blueberries and skim milk.
3. Cascadian Farms Chocolate O's Cereal - 3 P+
When I am in the mood for chocolate or craving sugary cereal, this is what I go for. Maybe I crave this type of cereal because I wasn't allowed to eat it as a good - who knows? What is great about this version it is a healthier version of a typical kids cereal and is loaded with flavor. Personally, I like mine with almond milk but it works with anything.
4. Barbara's Bakery Puffins, Peanut Butter and Chocolate - 3 P+
I am a sucker for anything with peanut butter and chocolate and this cereal hits the spot. I eat it not only for breakfast but also as a snack with or without milk, and sometimes as dessert. The chocolate and peanut butter puffins are pretty new, so if you can't find them I recommend the peanut butter puffins with some chocolate almond or soy milk - yum.
5. Galaxy Granola - 6 P+
One of my absolute favorite things is granola, but it is tough to find one that works with the weight watchers diet. However, this granola is made with applesauce instead of oil and tastes great. It can be a little hard to find though so you may have to order it off Amazon. I can sometimes find it in my local Whole Foods but not always. It is still 6 points for a half cup but it is about the healthiest granola I can find.
