Ever wished that someone could crawl into your brain and help you find the perfect recipe? One that is based the exact flavors you love so that it is sure to be a success. Well McCormick has done just that with their new FlavorPrint technology. It's pretty amazing.
Here's how it works. You go to the McCormick FlavorPrint website and fill out a quick quiz about what types of flavors you like. The quiz only takes a couple of minutes and asks you simple yes/no questions. Then from there, FlavorPrint suggests recipes based on your profile. You can select from all types of recipes - dinner, side dish, low calorie, celebrations, and more. Finally to tailor your profile even more, each time you make a recipe you rate it and the technology continues to refine it's suggestions. Pretty awesome.
I decided to try out FlavorPrint one night while aimlessly staring into the fridge trying to figure out what to make for dinner. You know the kind of night. After spending less than two minutes filling out my profile, it identified Garlic/Onionish, Sour, and Coffee/Chocolately as my top flavors - pretty spot on. Then from there I started looking for recipes and ended up choosing the Grilled Asian Orange Chicken dish, which was a 99% match. The recipe was simple and the results were delicious. I will definitely be making it again. After dinner I went back to my profile and rated the recipe with a thumbs up and 5 stars. Rating the recipe helps FlavorPrint to continue to refine my profile and make better suggestions.
The next day I wanted to make a fun snack and went back into the FlavorPrint and found these delicious Southwest Deviled Eggs, a 93% match. I ended up loving the flavors - the seasoned salt and spice was perfect.
Then for dinner that night, I used it again in search of a side dish. I ended up choosing this simple Summer Squash Saute with rosemary. It was another 99% match and another hit. I loved the combination of squash, rosemary, and tomatoes and was happy to find another simple side dish to add to my repertoire.
So next time you are in search of a great recipe, try out FlavorPrint with McCormick!
