Baked Wonton Chips

As much as I love homemade baked tortilla chips, every now and again it is nice to switch things up. Recently I have subbing in feathery, light, ultra crispy baked wonton chips. They are perfect for dipping and also make a great ice cream addition or sweet treat when topped with cinnamon and a touch of brown sugar (or Stevia for lower calorie). I look for the small wonton wrappers but you use egg roll wrappers. Top them with any spice combination you like – salt & pepper, cumin & paprika, chile powder & oregano, or thyme & lemon peppers are all delicious.

Baked Wonton Chips
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 20 wonton wrappers, whole or cut diagonally
  • Cooking spray
  • 2-4 tsp. spices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, foil, or cooking spray.
  3. Place the wonton wrappers on the baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray. Season liberally with your favorite seasoning.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minute until crispy and beginning to brown.
